Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Ampèra website (the “Site”) and the pre-order of vehicles. By accessing our Site or placing a pre-order reservation, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility & Licensing

  1. You must be at least 17 years old to purchase or finance a vehicle.
  2. Ampèra ONE (L3e-A1): Requires a minimum age of 17 and a valid CBT with Provisional Licence, or a Full A1/A2/A Licence.
  3. Ampèra EVO (L3e-A1 / 10kW Nominal): Requires a minimum age of 17 and a valid CBT with Provisional Licence, or a Full A1/A2/A Licence.
  4. You are strictly responsible for ensuring you hold the correct licensure to operate the vehicle on public roads in your jurisdiction.

2. Pre-Orders & Purchasing

  • Reservation Deposits: Payments made via this website (£349) are strictly Reservation Fees to secure a build slot. They do not constitute a contract of sale for the vehicle itself.
  • Contract of Sale: The final contract of sale is formed when you sign the purchase agreement with your chosen Authorised Dealer. At that point, your Reservation Fee will be transferred or credited towards your final balance.
  • Pricing: Prices listed on this site (£4,999 ONE / £9,999 EVO) are Recommended Retail Prices (RRP) including VAT. Final transaction prices may vary based on Dealer On-The-Road (OTR) charges or optional extras.
  • Finance: Finance options displayed (e.g., from 7.9% APR) are representative examples provided by third-party lenders. Finance contracts are subject to status and are agreements between you and the lender, facilitated by the Dealer.

3. Specifications Disclaimer

Range figures, performance statistics (0-60mph), and weights listed on this site are targets based on pre-production testing. Final homologated figures may vary slightly. Ampèra reserves the right to alter technical specifications without prior notice to improve the product.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is the foundation of our technology. We collect data to provide a seamless ownership experience, not to sell your identity.

Data We Collect

  • Identity Data: Name, address, email, phone number, and driving licence details for reservation and dealer handover.
  • Telematics (Opt-In): If you activate Ampèra Sentinel or EVO Smart features, we collect vehicle location, battery health, and diagnostic codes to provide theft recovery and maintenance alerts.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

  • Authorised Dealers: To facilitate the sale, registration, and handover of your reserved vehicle.
  • Security Partners: BikeTrac & SelectaDNA (for the Sentinel anti-theft system).
  • Regulatory Bodies: DVLA and law enforcement where required by UK law.

Warranty & Liability

We stand behind our British engineering. Our warranty is a Manufacturer's Warranty provided by Ampèra EV Ltd, but serviced via our Authorised Network.

  • Vehicle Warranty: All new Ampèra vehicles come with a 3-Year / 60,000-mile warranty as standard.
  • Battery Warranty: High-voltage batteries (72V systems) are covered under the main warranty terms regarding capacity retention (minimum 70% State of Health) and cycle life.
  • Liability: Ampèra EV Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our vehicles, except where liability cannot be excluded by law (e.g., death or personal injury caused by negligence).
  • Statutory Rights: Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer against the selling Dealer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

Returns & Cancellations

Because your contract of sale is with an Authorised Dealer, all requests for returns, rejections, or refunds (outside of the initial Reservation Fee) must be directed to the selling Dealer.

  • Reservation Fee Refunds: Before a vehicle is ordered, you may cancel your reservation via this website for a full refund of your £349 deposit.
  • Vehicle Returns: Once you have taken delivery, any return requests (including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or Distance Selling Regulations) must be handled by the Dealer who sold you the vehicle.

Intellectual Property

All content, vehicle designs, logos (including the Ampèra logo), HALO software, and specifications are the exclusive property of Ampèra EV Ltd. You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, or distribute them without express written consent.

Corporate Governance

Human Rights & Sourcing

Ampèra is committed to upholding respect for human rights. We audit our battery suppliers to ensure cobalt and lithium are sourced responsibly, free from child labor and conflict financing.

Tax Strategy

In accordance with Schedule 19 of the Finance Act 2016, Ampèra EV Ltd is committed to being a responsible taxpayer. We do not engage in aggressive tax planning and maintain a transparent relationship with HMRC.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
